My name is Katie, I have been a ceaseless student of all things artsy since I was a little girl. My grandma would sit my cousins, siblings and I down for painting lessons. Where we would spend a majority of the time doing our own thing and ignoring what we were actually suppose to be doing. Eventually as time went on I started to absorb everything she would tell and teach me, and yes I stopped just doing my own thing. As I painted with my grandma, my love for all things art grew, she would teach me about the importance of composition, blending of colors, and being patient as art is a process.
Throughout the years I dabbled in a variety of different forms of art, including acting, dancing, singing, painting, drawing, as well as many others. I fell in love with each of them, and although love them as hobbies the one I truly fell in love with was photography.
I remember picking up my dad's camera and just teaching myself everything possible about it, I fell in love with capturing images of everything I could. Thank goodness it was digital or I would have several rooms filled with the photos I captured.
After many years of learning and experience both through classrooms and shooting, I have acquired a BFA from UW-Milwaukee, created my own business, worked with many other artists and put my heart into every photo shoot that I take.
My goal when I take photos is to not only create images that you will enjoy and fall in love with, but to make the whole experience something fun and have you laughing along the whole time. I remind everyone that these photos will be something they can cherish for a long time and that I truly appreciate them allowing me to be the one to capture the images for them.
I like to be someone silly, funny, happy, and enjoyable to work with.
If you would like to get to know me as a photographer and discuss what photo shoot might work out best for you, feel free to shoot me an e-mail or text and lets set up a time to get coffee, talk, and work out the perfect shoot for you!
